Frequently asked questions.

How do I know which colour service is right for me?

During your consultation, we’ll go over your hair history, goals, and lifestyle to determine the best service—whether it’s a full balayage, partial refresh, or custom toner. I do all consultations in person on the day of your appointment so I can see and feel your hair in real time and give you an accurate price. If you choose to move forward, we’ve already allocated enough time to begin your transformation right away.

What’s the difference between a full and partial balayage?

A full balayage covers the entire head for a more noticeable transformation, while a partial focuses on the top and front for a softer refresh. A partial is ideal for someone who already has existing balayage and isn’t looking to make a big change or bring in a brand new inspo photo—it’s more of a maintenance appointment than a full redesign.

How long will my appointment take?

Balayage services can take anywhere from 4 to 7 hours depending on your hair length, thickness, and desired result. It’s important to schedule your appointment on a day when you’re not in a rush to leave—hair is unpredictable, and sometimes it takes extra time to achieve the end result we’ve discussed. Be sure to plan ahead, and feel free to bring snacks!

Do I need a consultation before booking extensions?

Yes, all beaded weft extension installs require a consultation first. This ensures we choose the right length, volume, and colour for a seamless blend.

How often do I need to move up my extensions?

Move-ups are typically needed every 6–8 weeks to maintain comfort and a secure fit.

Can I bring inspiration photos to my appointment?

Absolutely! Bringing inspo photos helps us align on your desired look and makes the consultation much more effective. Try to choose photos that closely match your natural root colour, hair length, and density for the most realistic expectations. That said, if there’s a specific part of a blend you love—like the tone, placement, or brightness—feel free to save those too. We can pull inspiration from different looks to customize a blend that’s uniquely yours.

Do I need to leave a deposit to book my appointment?

Yes, a $50 deposit is required to secure your booking. This amount goes toward the total cost of your service and helps ensure your appointment time is reserved just for you. I kindly ask for at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule—any cancellations made after that window will result in the deposit being forfeited. This policy allows me to manage my schedule effectively and offer availability to other clients.
